November 23, 2002- January 10, 2003
Opening Friday November 22 (Gallery closed December 14 -January 3)

Created shortly after moving to Berlin, Fassler's series of photographs document a series of small performances in which she has randomly and anonymously delivered bouquets of flowers to various apartment doors in the city. Fassler's photographs are intermediaries between two distinct performances: The act of the artist leaving the flowers and the latent reaction of the apartment resident. The project was conceived as a response to the isolation she felt moving to a new city, and Fassler became interested in this simple act, and its ability to break normal routines and to illicit widely varied reactions.
